Fuel Pipes Leaking

Was fiddling round under the wife's celica gen 6, and noticed/ smelt a patch of fuel when I'd finished.

I looked behind the rear nearside wheel (where the patch had been dropped), and the fuel line was covered in white scum - caused by petrol leaking out of it!

basically the smaller breather pipe is so corroded, it's started to split.

Quite lucky I spotted it really, as I don't often check under the car -the MOT is due in 6 months time.

Funnily enough, I was actually changing the oil cooler pipes - which had rusted and broken up, spraying oil over the engine bay.

The car's only 10 years old: I'm not too impressed with how it looks underneath to be honest - everything is rusting and breaking up.

My old mk2 golf was 14 years old when I sold it, and it still looked new - much better under coat protection.

My MR2 turbo is cleaner, but then it spent the first half of its life in Japan.
