Spark Plug Removal Tool

went to have a look at my plugs, but the depth of the plugs and width of the hole means my tool doesnt fit.

Anyone know where to pick up a cheap extension and tool of correct diameter?

TIA

Take yourself down to Halfrauds and go for the socket and separate extension bar/s. The professional range of tools wont break the bank and are guaranteed for life. A set of 3 3/8" drive extensions are around £8 and the socket only a few £ from memory, ratchet handle not sure as already had that.

Stay away from those T bar affairs, I used one and it broke, on starting to remove the third plug which luckily hadn't broke the seal, leaving the socket part well and truly stuck, was a toothache to get out. They are krap!

Cheers.

Halfords ('all frauds' ) even do a 'sparkplug maintenance set' which includes extension bars, two plug size sockets and a 'cranked' breaker bar plus other tools - all for under £25 quid, plus it's under the profesional banner so it will be good!

As a side note I know many people all have a laugh at Halfords now and again but the 'professional range' of tools are fantastic - some of which are produced by Britool - a superb tool manufacturer of years gone by now recently bought out by Facom an equally excellent tool manufacturer (French).

Alrighty, thanks for the tips folks. Was hoping to avoid Halfords, as they are pretty pricey. The jap-parts websites I look at, while having great prices for things like filters, have large postage costs which nullifies the price difference. Ah well.
