hey guys. so i am holding off on the apexi power intake for now due to the rediculous pricing of it for the 1.6 t3 models as opposed to the ceaper tsport versions.......

so i have decided to look into a panel filter instead for now. can anyone recommend me which is the best one?

i know there are some threads already but everyone is saying something different.

inthis thread in need a definitive majority vote on which one you would go for.

please help. thanks

As Nengun have joined up here (wonder why? ) you could always ask them about the pricings.

I have been speaking to them and if enough peeps want stuff from them they are happy to arrange a group buy ;)

How about the Blitz filter you can get from Envy?

Think the panel filter is pretty much the same across the E12.

If anyone can report that it's good then I might invest in one myself.

blitz? hmm i have heard blitz and k&n do good panel filters.

also have heard and have been told that they give you a quicker throttle response. obviously nothing major like what an air intake would give but panel filters are less damaging to the car in the long term as air filters are. also you dont get the sporty sound.

but im cool with better acceleration over sound :D

Eh?

The only damage that's likely to occur with the air filters is if you get one that's really poor at filtration ;)

lol after seeing that dodgey website seems all filters apart from the apexi and k&n are poor at filtering so those are the damaging ones....

sorry thats what i meant first time around. i should have been more clear :)

but ye a combination of a good panel filter and a apexi just takes the cake!
