Head Gasket Failure ?

hello all newbie here recently bought a 98 20tdi avensis

lovely car just have the following problem

on first day top hose through the bulkhead came off due to weak spring clip got the rac out they replaced with a jubilee clip and topped up coolant everything fine ste off home after 30miles temp gauge went into the red luckily just as arrived home let car cool down and topped up keeps doing this if i keep topped up does about 30-60 miles then needs fresh water but not overheating seems to be a lot of air in the sytem and the hoses go solid when engine running even when fully topped up and all the air out of the system no heat from heater .

suspect its the head gasket but before i go to the expence of doing this want to eliminate ant other possibilitys

also need as much info as posible on changing the head .headbolt removal order tourque settings etc

help please folks

hello

before decision adopting -- check with oil film presence inside of an expansion tank. Is it available?

If not then your problem is with thermostat or an air belong to a cooling circle.
