As I posted recently, count the number of hinges on your car - and think of the abuse they get. 5 doors opening and shutting in all weathers and rarely if ever oiled. Then you've got hinges on the bonnet, glovebox, fuse covers, and so on.

Count the hinges in your house and you'll find theres in excess of 300 hinges and more.

Now, would you want to risk a civil action because a hinge fails and your door drops on a member of the public; a meter reader or a visitor/friend? NO!

Some years ago, owners of minis had great problems with their hinges failing. Care Home owners have distinct problems with fire door hinges with dreadful consequences.

Thats why you need Hinge Insurance.
