Hi guys,

Yesterday i hurt my car but going into the back off someone. i have dentted the bonnet, passanger side light has come out of place and my left wing has moved place and my right wing needs fitting back in.

anyone got any ideas on how much it would cost?

It's hard to estimate cost without seeing pictures though.... what sort of speed was the impact?

well i skided into the back of him must been about 10 or 15 mph.

Its the hidden stuff to be wary of eg the front crossmember and chassis legs, lift the bonnet and see if the undamaged side looks the same as the damaged side, also have a look in the wheel arch to see if anything has been damaged in there.

Well sounds like the bonnet will need replacing if nothing else, and thats about 800pounds (really need to find my pound sign)

blimey I must have been lucky then with my recent accident. I was going faster than that but I only lost the number plate and got two gashes in the plastic bumper. I hit the rear plastic step of a van thankfully.

I will be interested to see what sort of costs repairs like that are too.

£800 for an aygo bonnet? Infaltion isn't that bad yet. I've noticed huge price differences from toyota in croyon, compared to my local toyota garage. First off, the wings are bolt on, so labour shouldn't be too bad. Anything over 300 for a bonnet and i would get one from a breakers and get it painted. Your insurer will want to write the vehicle off, so see if can take the cheque AND keep the car. Insurance approved garages are worse than ambulance chasing lawyers. Welcome to the circus & good luck.
