Hi,

From what I read, TomTom support planning based on Traffic Allerts. And Avensis (t3x) radio can receive Traffic Alerts. Does anyone have an idea if I could somehow use the alerts recieved for TomTom planning? I dont want to attach another cable to receive radio signals.

Thanks,

bbusa

As far as I know you need an RDS receiver cable, you can then pick up traffic info, and your tomtom (I'm not sure if all models, but I know 520/720 + 920 support it) will then re-route around heavy traffic, roadworks etc. But it does require another cable from your device to the windscreen (which, as your tom tom is already on the windscreen shouldn't get in the way, just feed it up the side and stick near top. However I've asked in a few retail outlets and they do not sell them on their own, but fleabay has plenty. As for your built in rds traffic updates automatically feeding to your tomtom, I doubt it, but am not certain, you can subscribe to tomtom traffic, and your device will connect to your phone and download info, but if you don't get unlimited internet on your mobile I'd recommend against this, as your bill for internet usage may be astronomical. Sorry, not much help I know.
