I bought a 2009 RAV4 V6 Limited last month. I'm really happy to find this forum with many owners from around the world. :)

It's especially interesting to see the differences in how the RAV4s are equipped for different markets.

WElcome to the club.

I had this V6 while on holiday last year;

It was very impressive. I often wondered how it compares with a T180 and I guess the answer is it is very similar. However, it has the advantage of the auto box so there is no waiting for the gearchange.

Cheers

Funny you mention you had the V6 on holiday last year as I rented this silver 4-cyl Limited when I went on vacation last year.

I had been considering buying one, so I rented one from Hertz. I liked it a lot and this experience largely influenced my decision to buy the RAV4 last month. I drove about 1500 miles from Los Angeles to San Diego to Las Vegas back to Los Angeles and then some. Even with the 4-cyl engine, it drives very smooth and comfortably at 85 MPH on Interstate 15.

I've never driven, let alone seen a T180 model in person, but I can tell you this thing is really fast. Fuel economy is good also. Mixed city and highway driving, I get 24 MPG.

we only have the 4-cylinder engines here, Tom - either Petrol (gas ;) ) or Diesel.

25MPG in US is equal to 30 MPG in the UK, and I understand the T180s get around 40MPG so an extra 35% or so miles on the same tank.
