Just A Couple Of Problems

Hi all,

Just a couple of quick ones, and if anyone has got the answers it would be well appreciated as I'm officially well stuck!

With my Rev 3 Turbo, I had a sports clutch fitted last year and ever since, it's been great until the engine warms through ie. 15 mins on the motorway thoroughly or is used quite hard down lanes or something. I would never thrash from cold like but my clutch starts slipping after a bit. It's a proper nightmare! When I let it cool down and drive again it's fine though. I'm proper baffled.

Also recently my turbo has been boosting but not fully until I get past about 4-4500 rpm. When it does, it flies properly, if not faster than normal. Another thing I'm really baffled about.

If you can help it would be really appreciated so thanks very much in anticipation . . . .

clutch or clutch pedal may be out of adjustment

turbo issue could be a non closing/sticking wastegate

the above are purely guesswork diagnosis but worth a look could also be something completely different.

Sounds to me either the clutch is crap or who ever fitted it didnt do it right there maybe something on the plates grease somin like that i have a fast road clutch in mine and its been fine and its done 40k aswell and still strong as for the boost you if your clutch is slipping it could be that as that is when there is the most pressure on the clutch
