hi all, im searching for a 2000-02 t sport. if any1 has any tints and tips on buying, i.e what to watch out for, any common faults etc etc any advice would be great,

That age suffers from potential lift bolt failure, when the engine is warm at 6,200 RPM the Lift system should engage if it doesn't walk away unless it will be fixed.

Sorry cant shed anymore light on the rest of the car :(

Common faults are limited to corrosion on both the alloys and the Brake Discs. Ensure there are two remote keys with the Car as replacements are very expensive. The best piece of advice I can give you is to buy a face lift model which was introduced in the autumn of 2002. These have a nicer interior/rear lights and the lift bolts were revised at the same time.

thanx guys awesome stuff..

well as you guys mentioned the lift failure... what would be the easiest way to find out when i view one?

also will there be any clear early indications of this fault if it isnt present? any chance to prevent it in the future as well?

il keep in mind with the 02 autum facelift model too thanx.

if anybody knw a gd place for browsing/buying. free feel to tip me :) x

The engine wont rev past 6,200 RPM when warm!
