Tomtom Auris Mounting

Hi Guys!

I've just bought a TomTom 930T Sat Nav and I'm wondering what the best mounting soloution would be other than on the windscreen (I don't like windscreen mounts) in my Toyota Auris 2.0 D-4D.

There's a specific 'ProClip' one (photo attached) but I'm worried that it may mark the centre console?

Here's the link: http://www.dsldevelopments.com/brodit/hold...odit-Holder.asp

Then I've seen these new 'bean bag' mounts which are apparently popular in the USA. Anybody got one?

http://www.buybits.com/product/sku_3424.aspx -or- http://www.buybits.com/product/sku_3461.aspx

Any advice/suggestions would be appreciated.

Kindest regards,

Mike

Hi Mate,

I have the Brodit Proclip "Auris Centre Console" mount and it's excellent, and a really good fit. Little chance of marking the centre vents or upper vent if removed carefully.

There are some better pics of the mount on there on another thread about mounting Sat Nav in an auris. I think it was titled "Sat Nav, how do you mount yours".

If you want to find out any more about the brodit mount feel free to ask, also make sure you check the prices, they vary a fair bit.

Cheers, I'm only going to use my Sat Nav about once a month so is the Brodit Proclip quick and easy to fit and take off?

To be fair, if you're going to wanting to be fitting, and removing a mounting you would be better off using the original TomTom mount, and may be one of their dashboard disks, or the bean-bag mounts available.

The Brodit Proclip seems to be a fit and leave in place. When you came to sell cars it's would be pretty easy to remove, and I don't foresee it marking the cars interior. But to fit and remove over and over again, I am pretty sure as it is such a scure fit, you would end up marking something.
