Hi everyone, about to purchase a mongoose cat back system from bansheemotorsport.com does any one know of a better or alternative option to this system? it's not easy finding parts for the 98 corolla not many options out there. Also looking at £305 delivered seen it cheaper? thanks for any help new to the club :)

Welcome to the club - both TOC and ae111 owner :) I found it difficult finding stuff for my AE111 Corolla but if you persevere you will find lots of stuff that can be used - just don't expect it to be cheap :(

I know Fensport also sell the Mongoose and it's highly recommended for the normally aspirated engine. Mongoose at Fensport Don't foget to VAT and carriage to Fensport's price.

Hope this helps.

Thanks for responding, i've looked at the fensport website for a while now and found them to be a bit expensive, i purchased ebc green stuff pads from there and they were very helpful. For about 2 years now i've contemplated the 20v black top conversion from fensport cos my engine has now done 168k and i would like the extra oomph!! my plans are 20v black top with 5 speed lsd, k sport coilovers and front 8 pot brake conversion, mongoose exhaust (purchasing in 2 weeks time) superchip icon, k & n gen2 induction, front strut brace and 17 inch alloys. Has anyone seen a cat replacement pipe for the ae111 ? i have'nt it would save having to get one custom made. Could anyone tell me if they had any specific problems with the 20v conversion i noticed in pictures the power steering pump on the 20v is at the front of the engine but the 4afe is at the back, fabrication of power steering pipes required? Sorry if im asking questions you have heard many times before but im really keen on making my corolla the car it should have been from new. 109 bhp is good but not for the top spec limited editions we should have been given 20 valve or supercharged versions in the uk anyone else agree? Thats probably why so many people choose civics over corollas they have many power options which never gave the corolla a chance really shame....Though we do have a much nicer car overall !!! Iwill try and upload pictures of my 'rolla the files are stupidly high mb cos of the digi camera i used so look out for them.
