I am in Ney York at present..... just seen a prius being used a a New York Yellow Cab.... they are getting there! By the way loads of Prius here and in Ottawa where I have just been!

Only in NY? I seem to recall that someone was using a Prius as a Taxi in Vancover, and being used as a taxi it was doing a typical motorists annual mileage in a month. I remember thinking that's a maintenance service every single month.

I have been told Prius taxi's are not so rare in Australia. White not yellow paint jobs though.

It was not so much that it was a taxi as much as it was a yello NYC cab, with the obligatory scuff marks on the fron fender corners. It did look anachronistic among the big ford normal yellow cabs although ther were a lot of toyotas which looked like a Prius at the front but were a sort of verso design at the back. ;)
