Hi Lads

I was thinking of buying the rear chrome piece for my t3. The one that comes standard on the TR.

What do you think of it. My auris is Decuma grey.

Only problem is my badges are too low and will have to be removed and replaced higher up

Anybody remove badges from the auris yet.

my Toyota Badge broke when i took it off - mainly cos it was mean and ****** me off.. Think the Auris came off all in one go. U jus have to take ure time with it and some elbow grease or some sticky stuff remover comes in handy.. try mixing the 2 for best results.

Take em off and dont put them back on.. simple - will loook waaaay better ;)

I took off the T3 and D4D badges from mine.

Easy to do, just spray WD40 down the back of the Badge, leave for 5 mins to soak in, then scape off with a plastic credit/bank/loyalty type card.

Also, I wouldnt recommend the chrome strip on a Grey auris - makes it look kinda tacky and "old manish" in my opinion!

I just put a roof spoiler and 17" alloys on mine (both currently 4 sale on a popular auction site :blushing: ) , looked great. sadly the car has now gone to be replaced by a BMW 120 M Sport. See previous thread.

Andy

I de-badged the D4Ds from wings and rear. Use a hair dryer.

As for the chrome. Do whatever floats your boat. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder.

Hi Andy.

That was myself on that site that asked about the shipping of the spioler to ireland. If you could garuntee the shipping price of £25 i'd make a bid on it as the colour matches so no need worry bout spraying. Have you got all four bolts for it.

Any more opinions on the Chorome piece. Anyone have one on their auris and what do they think of it.

Hi my opinion is no chrome, cos no chrome anywhere else, i think it looks out of place on the Auris's smooth bum..

Also yes to the hairdryer and fine fishing line for debadging..

Cheers

OK mate, I will guarantee the shipping - although it may have to be parcelforce standard (insured).

Nice one if your cars the same colour - saves a bomb in paint! - oh yes, it has all 4 bolts, 10 min job to fit. Finally, I think that if you do go with a spoiler, the chrome would look even more out of place - kinda traditional in opposition to sporty (if u know where Im coming from)

Could someone please send (PM or right here in the open) me the link to that very auction-site.

Also, I'm not very fond of the rear chrome piece either, too old school for me. Not that I don't like old school but with this particular ride, it's not a match; for my taste. ;)

Cheers lads for the opinions. Think i'll give the chrome a miss as i'd rather the spioler.

Andy, I'll be keeping an eye on the auction.

Cheers

When I ordered my T180, I went for the style pack as well. It consisted of the spoiler, chrome strip and some alloy sill plates. Considered taking the chrome strip off for some time, but it's still on and stops the boot getting scratched when closing (if you shut it that way). Only criticism is that the badges look a bit too close to it. If you're concerned about having both, have a look at the Astra VXR and SRi, they look okay with them together.

Hello Balli!

Thanks for your compliment, the twin exhaust pipe came from Remus and the price was something around 500eur. including tax and delivery...

My model is 1.6 Sol MM-T, i don't know which it would be in your country, but it hasn't the keyless-system, or rain sensor. But it has full-automatic

A/C with separate temperature adjust on the driver's and passenger's sides, 6 Speakers and sidemirrors painted in car's colour.

There are 4 model ranges, first with black mirrors and manual A/C, second is mine, then comes the third with rain sensor and keyless entry. And the

last one is 2.2, the top of the range... But I think that even with 1.6 engine the car is fast enough for the city. I really enjoy taking some short sprints

at lights with other cars. The handling is great and the sporty look & sound is very eye-catching!

Best regards, Alex
