Remote Locking

Purchased a Yaris 1.3 Auto (2005 model) last week. It came with a single Grey Key (Valet key I believe) and no R/C (Remote control) key for central locking. Looking at previous threads on the forum, my interpretetion is that if I purchase a blank R/C key (as on e-bay), I should be able to program it using the Ignition-door-brakedance sequence or have i got this completely wrong (i.e would need to get a new ecu and matching fob etc). Would be very grateful from guidance from forum members who have done this before (apologies in advance, I am very green, have never used any forums before). Also if anyone knows where I could get a blank R/C key (apart from e-bay), please let me know. Many thanks.

Hi,

Did you get a little tag with the keys, the one I have is grey and has a sequence of numbers on it. This is what is used to programme remote keys to work with the car.

Although you would need to send them the ECU so would need another car to use whilst they do what they need too. Unless you could take your car there? I see you are in Harrow, just done a quick check on the AA route finder and you'd be looking at:
