Problems X2

Hey guys,

Ive just bought a R reg 5 door rav4 and so fair so good. Couple of little problems and i wanna see if anyone knows what i can do.

The Cig lighter doesnt work, when i checked the fuse bored the 15a fuse was missing so i replaced it, however i thought the same fuse ran the clock etc and that was working so was a little confused, so anyway i replaced the fuse and it still doesnt work, so i think its just the cig lighter itself, does anyone know where i can get one from or what i can do?

The second problem what i think is the Heat Sheild making a nice rattle, not all the time mainly when i slow down using gears or just send off. Is this a comon problem and how easy is it to sort out!?

Does anyone know also where i can get a Tonneu Cover from. im in 2minds to either get a tonnue cover or just tint the rear windows. as i keep a bit of stuff in the back.....any ideas?

If anyone has any advice please feel to let me know

Welcome Andy to this nut-house and you will be in good company with a 5 door monster! Have you got Hinge Insurance for all those doors?? :lol:

The cigarette lighter can be easily accessed from the lower dashboard. The easiest way of getting another is from a breakers.

The heatshield does rattle and is a common problem. I took mine off following the engine swap, but I've seen mention of it here - try a search.

Same with the cover - theres been some interesting solutions put up for a cover that Blue peter would be proud of!
