Missed this one. I vaguely remember the original (although it's stressed by the makers that this isn't a remake...............yeah right ! )

Might see if I can get it on Catch Up before episode 2

I still cannot beleive thay have not raided the local police station for some H+K MP5s

i am sure my shopping list would be something like

maplins etc for some walkie talkies = communication with group---check

weapons for self defence (local plod station/army base)----check

food/water (goes without saying still lots about)----check

selection of tasty motors for foraging----check

it really is not difficult is it and the joy of open congestion free roads......bring it on I say

Yeah. I've been watching it too. First thing I'd do is raid farms. Most farmers have shotties or rifles for ratting at least.

Get some jerries and and tubing and get siphoning. Nick the batteries, get some solars (a lot of telephone and traffic system boxes have them on) rig the solars to charge the lead acids and run them in series-parallel to power lighting/etc through inverters.

Not that bad. Nukes'd be worse. I still have memories of Protect and Survive!
