Course it is, no probs just use a slide hammer to knock them in don't just bang them in with an ordinary hammer or you'll ruin them.

if you have'nt got a slide hammer place a piece of wood across and do it that way.

Alternatively - buy a complete hub assembly from a breakers. Then it's just a bolt-on job.

THANK YOU guys for your quick replies. The Haynes Manual makes the job sound quite hard, or perhaps its just me. Havent got a slide hammer so it will have to be the piece of wood method. Will give it ago when I get the bearings next week. This is my third Carina, great car, great website only found out about it this year, thanks again.

A bit late on this but to make it easier to remove and fit I put the hub into the oven and heat up slowly. The heat usually lasts long enough to drive out the old and insert the new. PS use oven gloves!!! Regards. Sid
