Hey guys,

Just thought I'd share my little compressor project. Got myself a 2003 TS this spring and decided to get the TTE compressor kit from Prolex. Did the installation this week and I've made a thread about it on the swedish T-Sport forum.

Don't be scared by the language...it switches to english on page three ;)

Thanks! :D

I'm very pleased with the result, and when I get the small kinks worked out it'll be perfect. If you got a facelift the installation would be even smoother.

Topman!!!

Glad you got the results you were after.

I would appear that not meny people have done this but with the detail you have given it might emcourage more people to have a go.

If you don't mind me asking, How Much did it cost?????

Not sure how many kits have been available separately. I got the impression that there are not many left. I got mine from Prolex and it was around €1950.

It really wasn't all that hard, but we hit a few kinks because I have the pre-facelift model. Biggest issue being that I was not able to re-connect the a/c pressure hose due to the fact that the Polybelt and compressor pulley were in the way...

Have e-mailed TTE to get solutions.

Hi nice to see you here :D

:) It's a good forum with lots of TS owners. They're talking my language! Apparently you are the king of TS here as well...hehe..but I'm making ground! ;)

I did a lot of searching on the web before I purchased the kit and I found absolutely nothing about the kit or how it was installing it. Hopefully my posts will help those who are on the verge of getting one, and answer some questions.

I do not have any immediate plans of going on a dyno. I don't have any "before" data either, so there is no way to really know the actual gain unless I get an identical car to go with me. So for now I'm just gonna go with the my feel, and that tells me I just got a whole new car...and a new milage..hehe...to early to say exact, though. My driving computer isn't working correctly at the moment due to the upgrade. Waiting for an answer from TTE on how to solve that.

Excellent! :) It's a whole different car to drive. Got almost 1000Km's on the compressor now and been starting to load it a bit more. I just LOVE the sound it makes (although the wife thinks it sounds like a sewing machine...). Also been in contact with Silverstone Performance and Abbey Motorsports inquiring into other fun stuff I can do next year....
