3s-fe Cam Timing Settings?

The cam belt on my 94 Carina E 2.0 has jumped a couple of teeth. The Haynes manual is particularly vague on setting up the cam sprocket for the 3S-FE engine. Does anyone have a fool proof method of setting the cam timing? Cheers. Pete. :(

Sorry. Should have pointed out your engine is an interference engine & as such it may be likely that you might have some valve damage.
