Hi,

I am new here and hope you people can help me with my problem. I have a Kia Spectra which WAS a mistake so i am using it for a project now. Anyhow i swapped a 5A-FE engine in it. the engine is pretty good, runs fast and is good on economy. the only problem that i have right now is that the foundation won't hold it self, day before yesterday i changed the complete four foundations and got the car today, i rev the first gear till 6000 no problem there, but as soon as i shifted to 2nd i heard the foundation sound "DAK". i'm really sick of this problem now:S...can anyone tell me what could be the reason, i mean i tried solving this problem like 4 times and the result is the same and did it from 2 different mechanics :s...and this is really irritating i cannot race which is really a pain in the neck :S....please kindly help me out :S

regards !

Hi Mate.

I have absolutely no idea what the foundation is? Is this the engine mounting system? You need to find a mounting system that provides enough resistance against the vibration. Is the unit correctly aligned? If this has done this four times already you are addressing the symptom and not finding the true problem.

Sorry thats not much help but you need to discover what your problem is, before wasting any more time and money.
