Heater Not Heating

Hi, has anyone had their heater fail on an older shape Yaris?

My work car has stopped getting hot, (although it was always cooler than my own one) and just seems to slightly warm up rather than heat!

The fan is fine and the engine must be getting hot so I wonder if anyone else has suffered from this and what caused it?

It is an 02 1L frenchy, if that helps. Thanks, Gar.

Hi Gar.

The temp adjust valve might be sticking almost closed. The heater core might be blocked with something, or maybe airlocked. Did you service the car recently? Was the coolant replaced? I'm only throwing ideas out there, maybe i'll hit upon something! :D

Maybe the coolant level is low and there is a lack of coolant going to the heater core......i'd check that first, just so you don't have to buy a new engine!! :(

Good luck.
