If you can get on with the MMT box you should be fine, but if your used to a conventional automatic it might take some time. The only other thing to consider is whether you do enough mileage so save anything over running a petrol model. Afterall, the diesel car costs more to begin with and the fuel is around 20% dearer than petrol so it might be more cost effective to have the petrol if you don't do a huge mileage.

Hi James

Thanks for your thoughts, i,m getting the car on motability so i get it free (lucky me) i would have had to pay an extra £800 for the petrol model . i have driven a Auris with the mmt box and i know were you are coming from on that .

Regards

Paul

What is "motability" ?

It's like a disability scheme where they pay for part/all of a new car.
