Got my renewal letter from More Than last week. Now up to £385 (protected no claims)

Phoned about a few others, Toyota was £360, More Than online was £305

My existing More Than would not match the online quote, allthough they did offer a small discount.

Same company, but £80 cheaper for same policy, the rest as they say is history

My insurance company do the same each year...Send Quote..I go on line and get cheaper from their web site...They then match it....

Still yours is dearer than mine.....

Wife's car is insured with More Than and me as named driver...They wont let me drive her car to other client sites just my main place of work.... ;) ;) Again they tried the same trick as you had.........

Maybe the insurance guy parks his car in the same train carpark you hit the wall in :driving::blowup: .....they just remembered your CR*P at reversing a RAV4..... :lol2: :lol2: :lol2: :lol2: :lol2:

Wow! You should shop around!

Just renewed mine.... my old Ins. Co., who I have been with for several years were asking £285 . I dumped them and went with M&S (financial)... £180 with the same deal  The first year with a new insurance Co. can be a special introductory offer, so be prepared to move each year if you have too! I would advise to avoid 'on-line' insurance... its nice to have a door you can kick down if you have a problem :)

Tried a few but not M&S or Sheilas wheels. All averaged out around mid £300's, but s'pose its down to

your area and what extras etc you want on the policy.

I'll sicken you all....

2 RAV s - both modified and running the turbo engine. Admittedly, I have the value only at £7000.

Each one costs me £125 compy .

The landrover costs me £65 compy.

I did have them on a footman james classic car policy but since getting rid of the old Jaguar, the premium soared up to £560 for 4 cars!!

And so,

now,

The new insurer is -

SAGA.

OK - I admit I'm 50 now!

They also insured the feared Punto being driven by my 89 yr old faither. £210 fully comp.

For sure, we haven't reversed into any train stations, and the only claim in the last 30 years I've had was for a Humber Sceptre being stolen by the owner of the garage where it was being restored! (Touch wood)

Can't figure out why you guys pay £300 ? :lol2: :lol2: :lol2: :lol2: :lol2: :lol2: :lol2:

and the 4th car ?

it's the Humber hawk firmly parked in the back garden and won't be moving this side of Christmas 2009

Mine was £270 (after some negotiation) with Toyota. I'm hoping that all parts of it are insured including the spare wheel!

My Renewal with the Post Office last Jan was £270 - and when I asked them to do better, it reduced to £228 Fully Comp Protected NCD with Business.

And with £90 cashback from LloydsTSB Insurance (long story), this years insurance has been £138

and I too hope it covers the Spare Wheel!!!

pulling things back to the topic, just remembered why the landrover insurance is so cheap - they know it will be off road use (   ) and limited mileage cos the off road is spent on axle stands in a garage and the rest on the back of a transporter!!

Now, wheres that 1970s pic of twiggy??

Dave i'm also with More Than and i do the same trick every year of getting an on line quote, they always do their best to get close to the online price, if its around 20-30 quid i tend to say with them...well i have upto now, guess i'll have to see what happens this time round.

I've been with them a few years and found them ok to deal with. So I did not really want to switch elsewhere, but what a bloody difference in price

Rob, you should move over her mate

Offroadster, postcode is a BIG factor, seems good for a T180. Not sure what others pay, I see there is a company on here now called SKY Insurance.

Dont know if they are connected with SKY ? Anybody had a quote from them ?
