Has Anyone Fitted . . . Drop Down Dvd For Rear

Have to provide my munckhin with his fix of Balamory etc etc and couldn't bare it with a dash mounted unit which he couldn't really see anyway . . ..

Has anyone fitted a drop down DVD in a Rav4? Ours is the 4.2 VX, the reason being I don't want to fit something on the headrests as we often have stuff for work squished into the back and more importantly don't want any trailing cables that the munchkin will undoubtably eat/pull. Plus don't want to have to constantly dismantle for security reasons!

TIA

Lo there...

I like the idea of one of these, however me sunroof would get in the way ...

I've got a portable DVD player which hangs nicely between the front seats and has 2 headphone jacks... only problem I forsee in the future is when our youngest is old enough to start arguing with our eldest in regards to what film they want to watch... CANT WAIT !

When you make your mind up and get a dvd player installed... post some pics ...

Regards

Rob

I was hoping to utilise the fact that there is a sunroof and hopefully some existing anchor points and chase the existing courtesy lamp cabling back through to the fuse box . . . just need to get a shifty between the roof lining and the sun roof mechanism. I've only ever had to disturb a roof lining once before to try and clean it and it was a nightmare to get back into position.

Back to the DVD thingy, they seem to be quite common in the US and the sizes of screen and their costs vary dramatically.

Cheers
