Emissions Major Problem

car failed mot on emissionns have fitted two new four wire universal oxygen sensors now im getting fault codes up saying o1 sensor and o2 sensor heater circuit malfunction they are wired correctly according to instuctions anyone had similar problems imfeeling that its a wiring issue but ive checked and rechecked and the wtrings fine

Black - Signal

Grey - Earth

White - Heater

White - Heater

Blue - Signal

thats exactly how i wired it but its still throwing fault code for each sensor saying heater circuit malfunction doing my head in dont know how else to wire it are these universal sensors compatable with celicas

depends which 1 you bought - did the place you bought them send you the correct ones???

seems to quite a few with differing OHMS ratings eg. -

LAM-24000 Universal 4 Wire Zirconia sensor - 5.5 ohm heater. Body grounded. £35.25

LAM-24200 Universal 4 Wire Zirconia sensor - 16 ohm heater. £47.00

LAM-24300 Universal 4 Wire Zirconia sensor - 2.3 ohm heater. £35.25

LAM-24400 Universal 4 Wire Zirconia sensor - 5.5 ohm heater. Body isolated.

my advice to anyone changing the oxygen sensors go for oem or original part as i spent 60 pounds on two universal ones and none of them worked so dont be caught out trying to save a wee bit its not worth the hassle
