T180 Erase Keys And Program New Ones

Does anyone have any instructions on how to remove smartstart keys from the Rav4 T180 and also how to program new ones?

Some not-very-nice-person has pinched one my keys, and I want to:

a) Disable it from the car

and

B) Program up a replacement

My local Toyota dealer wants (get this):

£102 to wipe the memory PLUS £50 per key to code them up as they take 30 minutes! These prices don't even include the supply of a new key :-(

Any suggestions please?

Just a thought, check your car insurance policy. A few Insurance companies will pay for "changing locks/keys" if a key is stolen and it may not affect your no claims bonus.

The work you have quoted does not include the replacement of the physical keylocks themselves which I would think you would need doing as well.

I think as suggested, you should check the insurance route.
