New Verso.... Very Nice So Far

Hi All

Picked up my new Verso 2.2 D4D SR in Silver Steel a couple of days ago and having read the thread on here about the poor sterio I was not expecting too much.....

Well I don't know if they have changed it or it's just my hearing but I think it's excellent.

It's got a six disc in dash cd changer that will play MP3's on cd and an rds radio. The radio finds stations no problem and the reception is excellent. The mp3's sound good to, no distortion or speaker boom, and nice and clear.

So they must have done something I think.... maybe someone at Toyota read the earlier thread????

As an aside, if you change the original head unit I think you will find ALL of the steering wheel controls stop working, not just the radio ones....

So on our drive at the moment we have

Yaris - My Daughter's, the one in the pic above, looks a bit better now, it's panelled up and straight, just needs the panels taking off, spraying the shuts etc, then final assembly and paint

Yaris - the wifes

Verso - mine

Avensis estate - workhorse....

A couple more and we will have the whole fleet.....

Anyway I'm off to my mothers for a few days to fix her boiler.... she's been a bit cold for two days and couldn't understand why untill she noticed it had gone out!!!!! so the Verso will get a good 600mile trip to help run it in..... and I can listen and apraise the stereo more.....
