I need to know if 185/60 R15 tires will fit the 6.5J 15" rims. That's because toyota is selling the 185/60 R15 rims with 6.0 J.

The problem I am having is that in my country, the tire size must be in the papers, and to get it in the papers, toyota must have fitted the tire dimensions on the specific car. The J is not mentioned on the papers :D

I currently have 195/45 R15 tires on 15" 6.5J, my question is, will the 185/60 R15 tire fit on a 6.5J rim? I am guessing it would (with some euro look), but I am also considering the spedo error - and this is what I don't know. The 185/60 15" on 6.0J rim diameter should be bigger than 195/45 R15 on 6.5J.

185/60 R15 on 6.5J should be sligtly bigger than 195/45 R15 on 6.5J?

Also 175/50 R15 on 6.0J is supported by toyota, how would 175/50 R15 on 6.5J be?

175/50 R15 is the largest published tyre size for a toyota Aygo (TTE chichane alloys).

The tyres are low profile on a 6j: Stretching the rubber increases the likelyhood of catching the rim on the road surface (when cornering hard) and rolling the car over! 185 width is better for a 6.5j, but it's not in the Toyota Aygo papers.

If TTE sells them (185/60 R15), they are toyota aproved :)

175/50 R15 on 6.5J - "catching the rim on the road surface (when cornering hard) and rolling the car over" - this is exactly what's worring me. I will see if it's worth the risk...

Yes... they will fit without any problems.

The question is.. will the 6.5J rims... with whatever offset (the ET number) you have fit your Aygo?... Toyota say 6.j with "x" offset.. with 6.5J the offset might need to be slightly different... I would suggest trying the wheels on the car before buying tyres.

The offset for the Aygo can be between et35 and et45... The bigger the offset, the closer it will sit to the strut, the smaller the offset, the closer it will sit to the arch.

My current specs are 195/45 R15 on 15" 6.5J, offset 38 and this fits quite nicely.

I think the 175 and 185 on 6.5J will also fit.
