Clutch Problem

My daughter has another problem now with her car!!!! She says when she pulls away the car is not pulling properly and the clutch is smelling she had a new clutch and dualmass flywheel in the summer, any ideas. Could it be another clutch so soon?

She does long miles on the motorway to and from home but has only done it twice since the new bits when she is up in Derbyshire at work she hardly uses the car. When we last had all the codes checked the last problem is yet to be done as ran out of money and that was the turbo valve thing i asked about a while ago, hubby doesnt think it could be that what do you think?

Sorry to go on a bit but it hard to discribe the problem in short!!!

ah....the good old diesellys again!!

Unusual I'd say for a clutch to go so quick...BUT

my faithers Punto had its clutch done in August (this year) less than 1000 miles ago. The clutch is smelling and needs replaced again.

Problem has been identified as the old man trying to take off at 6000rpm in 1st gear then changing gear at 6500rpm to 2nd gear whereupon it stays.....well you know what they say - like father like son

So outside of abuse, and faulty workmanship, I can't think of much else. Air in the hydraulics if it has hydraulics...sticking mechanism? Or just buy an automatic 3 door petrol!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

There we are - sympathetic as ever!
