Newbie - Build/break/sell?

Hola.

I've been in the Norfolk area about two years now, and acquired a 3.0 US Spec 2WD 4Runner from a couple based at RAF Lakenheath sometime last year. Problem is, it spun a bearing and broke a rod shortly thereafter.

It's been sitting now for awhile, and I had planned on a solid axle swap, and new shortblock. But, I'm not sure whether I'm willing to undertake the project or not. I'm in limbo between replacing the short block and starting the project - or getting rid of it alltogether. It's in better-than-average condition, otherwise.

Where is a good start when looking for another used 3.0 block? What's a typical going rate? If it's more than I'm willing to Shell out, I suppose I'd just offer it up for a cheap sale or part it out. Thoughts / suggestions? Thanks. :)
