just wonder is there a fuse that u can take out to get engine man light to go out or is there another way for it to go out. many thanks daz.

Why's it on in the first place?

Just ignoring it is likely to to result in more expensive problems long term.

If it's on it will probably mean the ECU goes into one of it's problem management modes. This for example can lead to overrich fueling to make sure the engine keeps running. This can lead to increased engine wear and a damaged catalytic convertor
