When you say an 'air-noise' do you mean that you can hear it all the time whilst the engine is running? If so then an internal seal in the brake servo unit has failed. This must be replace ASAP. The best route would be to get a salvage part from a breakers. The servos can't really be repaired AFAIK. You must replace the entire unit.

However if you mean that the air noise is present only when you pump the brake pedal and stops after a few pumps? This is entirely normal.

To test the servo - pump the pedal until it's rock solid with the engine switched off, and then while you maintain pressure with your foot on the pedal, start the engine and the pedal should sink about an inch and then maintain that position - if it creeps down, then suspect master cylinder allowing air into the sytem through a faulty seal.

Sounds like Gazza says to me, servo drawing air in. As for repairing servos, you can IF you can get the parts and know what you're doing but parts are a little like rocking horse manure.

So, all in all, I would just get a replacement servo, it's your quickest and easiest option.
