Hi,

My front brake pads and discs need replacing on my 2007 1.8petrol vvti. I would like to know what I can expect to pay. I would also appreciate any reccomendations for getting a good price, (I live in the Sheffield area).

Many thanks

I am sure I read very recently on here that someone had paid £700 for the same work as you are describing. (3 hours labour at £100.00 an hour being his/her major gripe.) The total of £700.00 is a disgraceful rip-off, so I would get a trusted local garage to do what is not a difficult job. Get parts on e-bay at about £60.00.

How come you need new discs on a 2007 car and what mileage have you done? I had discs replaced at 16,000 miles under warranty because I complained they were noisy and warped. No questions asked, just replaced.....PROBLEM WITH SUPPLIER QUALITY?

Hope this helps,

Big Kev.
