Help Please - Door Open Indicator

Hi There

I wonder if anyone can help me? I've got a 2004 Yaris Diesel and unfortunately someone drove into the back of me last night. The car still works O.K. and I'm able (with a bit of force) to shut the tailgate and lock it - but the dashboard indicator, cabin light and boot courtesy lights won't go out. I've switched off the cabin light, removed the bulb from the courtesy light and looked for a sensor for the 'door open' indicator - but I can't find it. It's probably going to be several days before the insurance repairs are arranged and, since I don't use the car daily, I'd like not to drain the Battery more than necessary.

The tailgate itself doesn't seem to be bent, but the bottom left corner of the frame is pushed in. Is this where the sensor is? I've looked but can't see anything. Does anyone know if there's a wiring connection I can remove to temporarily turn off the sensor?

Thanks :)
