Hey,

after seeing norfolks sig and t sports and seen there MPG, i thought i would check mine out! fueled up the other day and just fueled up again today!!!

i have done 34.3 miles and used £8 of vpower at 93.9 p a litre

and this works out at best depending on which calculator i used is 18.3mpg

thats shocking!!!

what can i do!!!

and PS i don't use lift all that often!!! probably a hand full of times during them 34.3 miles!!!!

or should i just be naive and pretend i never asked lol

I guess looking at them MPGs i should be happy but since getting my new exhaust system and air panel my MPG has dropped from 62mpg to about 54... The lowest im able to get it is 40.0 mpg guess thats still ok. :)

I got 155.6 Miles out of £20 Normal unleaded the other day, and got 150.6 out of £20 this time 'round.

Not doing too bad - On average I have to put £20 in every 3-4 days..

Get a CTS it's cheaper to run, my last £10 got 68.6miles

it takes 45 eurodollars to fill my car from borderline breaking down to the top and i'm getting about 360 miles to that at 97.9c a liter

thats an average of 35ish mpg not too bad as i'm hard enough on the old girl :D

I used to get on average 26 mpg every fill :crybaby: , going by the in dash computer.

Id put £30 of Super in and id get about 155 miles out before having to fill again. But then im always doing cold starts and twisties to work and back so its the worst miles i could possibly put on the car, economy wise.

However after having the new flywheel put in im now immediately getting more like 165-170 from the same fuel at the same price on the same route  . Wasnt expecting that to happen... Any one else changed their flywheel and found the same???

you'll be getting better MPG from adding the flywheel because the engine doesn't have to work as hard to get it to the same RPM, it's a good mod to do when your still on the standard clutch and have a healthy amount of power low down (i know the CTS is lacking in torque but it's still a good investment)

That makes perfect sense actually :D I really should have figured that out myself!

Im well pleased with the flywheel actually, makes the car much more driveable. Would definately recommend one, like you say.

lol but when i drive i tend to put my foot down alot these days to hear the tte box :D otherwise i can easily get around 75-80miles out of £10 and thats squeezing every last drop out of the car ;)

next time i fill up i will drive like a civilised road user and let you know the results :)

If you are only doing short journeys and the car isnt getting a decent run, nothing will improve the MPG especially if the lights/air con/heated window etc are all on. As she has been parked for a while as well this wont help.

I bet she is on choke most of the time which gobbles fuel and if your queueing and not getting over 30 MPH/ past 3rd gear MPG will be poor.

I suggest you go up and down the M1 in the middle of the night at 60 to improve things :P ;)
