I have owned the car from sept 07 2nd owner after car being service managers car. reg o3/07 t180 with sat nav apparently over £20k new , i bought at £16k with just under 10,000 on clock.

Having been so disappointed with the cars fuel economy i have decided to consider going back to audi . So far the px figure best i have had so far has been £9400 against a new car and £8000 against a used. I find it hard to believe i have lost between 8000-6500 in 14 months i thought toyota faired better than this .

Is it because toyota have struggled to sell the Auris and they are not desirable to the trade.

I would consider the new Avensis but again fearful about economy and now resale values.

I love the cars cruising ability and power if needed ,,, but i tend to drive it like a granny to get some reasonable fuel economy

never had too before the vag engines seem to be the economical ones even ford have a good diesel engine ,

come on toyota you can do better , surely a soft ware upgrade can improve mpg or are they not taking heed of thier owners who comment on the engines failures :(

It is not just only Toyota. In current economy climate all cars loose the value very fast. Dealers try hard to sell new stock by dropping the prices. I saw some used Audi or Toyota cars almost for the same price as new models after discounts :) Dealers seem to forget that product is worth as much as someone wants to pay for it not how much they want for it.

We bought our 57 plate T180 4 weeks ago and love it (getting 46mpg average at the mo mix of fast A-road and hilly town driving)!!! It came with everything (sat nav, protection pack, reversing sensors, 17's, 4 new tyres, spare wheel and repair kit, i-pod connector, lowered on toyota m-sport springs, years tax, full tank, mats and a full valet) it had 8756 miles on the clock we paid £11500 for it, so yeah i can undestand the valuation!!! Its a buyers market not a sellers, the flip side to that is if you sold it privatly you'd probabally get £12000 if you can wait for three weeks or so!!
