Ok, wasn't 100% sure after reading your message :)

Firstly: Why would you like to install them, haven't found them

really useful, the headlights stay always very clean. Even if

the weather is extremely bad.

Secondly: If my first point didn't change your mind, why not to

send a PM to PartsKing, he should be able to help you out!

Best regards, Alex

1. We could do with them because the wifes doing alot of travelling wit hwork at the moment, and where we live is very rural so loadsa mud and grit on roads which is baking on daily (reducing efficiency of lights which isn't great down country roads)!!!!!!!!!

2. Im away with work for 4 months and I know she wont manually wipe them before every journey like I have to do for her now!!!

3. PM Parts King would if I knew who he was and how to do it!!! (If you cant fix it with a spanner or engineering knowledge im crap with it!!!!! )

Cheers for the help

in reverse order ...

3) Parts King - http://toyotaownersclub.com/forums/index.php?showuser=34014 - Discounted Toyota Parts with a smile :)

2) On your own there :)

1) I have exactly the same situation and been mulling over some washers - on country roads with loads of dirt washed onto then, the spray can be filthy and the lights become near useless over the course of a journey. I have had to stop and wash them 2 or three times on a single drive home sometimes.

Ah ok, countryside is a whole different story... Then I understand why you want to install them.

I suggest you to PM ParstKing, and then use your nearest Toyota dealer to accomplish the installation!

But there is one more thing: I've heard that when the headlights get really dirty, you won't be able to

get them clean by only spraying some water on them. The water sprayers are just a tool, so that you

won't have to drive around with bottle in your trunk. After spraying you must to use some cloth to wipe

the headligts. Otherwise they'll be only wet but not clean! Only heard this story, don't know if it is truth...

Best regards, Alex

The thing is, Alex, that if you have the headlamp washers, then the headlamps don't get REALLY dirty as they get a spray everytime you wash the windscreen (and the lights are on as well, usually).

If you needed to get out and wipe them after spraying each time for them to have any affect, it would be pointless in having the washers.

I suppose the little lamp wipers that you see on some high-end cars might be the ultimate thing to have, but the washers are pretty effective on their own.

FWIW, easiest way on the move without washers is to use paper towels and stick them in front of windscreen washer jet to wet enough and then wipe headlamps - saves going for bottle in boot and finding it is empty ;)

In Auris the spraying doesn't happen every time you spray water on your windscreen. There is a separate button by pressing which the headlamps get some water! But I think you're right, spraying can be enough to keep the headlamps clean if you'll do it often enough! :)

Ah - so many variations on how to do the same thing! Thanks for the extra info.

First car I was in with these was a Audi Coupe and the washers worked automatically as I described - my friend used to enjoy washing his windscreen at pedestrian crossings (powerful jets and lots of splashback  )

I am like amr1981 and tempted to fit something anyway :D - but would be inclined to either fit a switch to wash or to cutout the washer

I have found out that you can get sll the bits switch all the way down to the cover's!!

Kingo says it's expensive which it is for the priveledge.

A quick phone call to toyota uk has given me a ruff price of £250 then the fitting which is a relatively difficult procedure bumper off some drilling to bumper and washer reservoir etc! loadsa tubing and some dash to be removed button fitted!!!!!!!!

Trying to source a salvaged vehicle with them fitted as we speak!!!!!
