Tte Parts?

second post! regarding my first car :D

just bought a 02 corolla, 1.4vvti 3dr and bought a standard one to avoid finding ones tha may've been thrashed within an inch of their life...but then maybe im being paranoid :P

i was wondering how much you'd pay for a tte kit? i was going to call the toyota garage, but before i do i want to know if you can haggle with them for one, just as you would with a car? ive seen other kits and in my opinion the subtle stylign of the tte is the way to go for me :P

i'm living in ireland, so euro prices would be appreciated if you can, thank you :)

also wondering if an ecu remap is worth the money on a car of this engine size?

well if you want there is a tte backbox on eBay for £100 but you can negotiate it down to £80...

the model of the tte backbox isnt for your car but it wil fit. another member, 'rez89' bought it for his 1.4 and it fitted just fine no problems.

i have too bought a tte backbox which wasnt listed for my 1.6 but again it fitted perfectley....only minor adjustments may be required on the exhaust mounts but the mechanics can sort it no problem!

well i had to go to the tte website and get the part numbers and email tte themselves for prices. the toyota garages here and too informed on the tte stuff. and just to warn you, theyre very very expensive ;)

yep tte parts are a rip-off!

eBay is your friend they have alot of tte stuff but mainly for the yaris and aygo models....lame

ye i got my spoiler and front bumper which are tte lookalikes off eBay for a third of the price. look just the same!!!

hmmm....yes i got a taste of what id be expected to pay for a ful tte kit...

but this lad was going on about sideskirts, rear splitter and whatnot... i thought it was just a front splitter and spoiler?

would the replicas be worth taking a look at? i just haven't the money to throw away at the minute they're looking for lol...

the replicas are just that...replicas!! lol

exact same look but without the overpriced '£100' TTE Badge stuck on the items....hence why its cheaper.

TTE spoiler = £180 (what i was quoted)

yea my spoiler was only 100 euros delivered and my front bumper was 200 euros delivered, both off eBay. i know ur car is a different model and all but heres pics to show ya what mine look like to compare the two. tte wanted 300 euros for spoiler and 500 for front bumper!!!

thanks... i dont know what the difference between the material is though.. ive scraped mine though a few times and its still good.

i think the replicas are made of fibreglass?

they not as strong as official parts but they will hold against minor damage i.e. scrapes, scratches and maybe even few knocks

yeah looked em up on eBay, that they are....but they look spot on, theyll do the job nicely for me :D

i was thinking tte kit, tinted windows, alloys, lowered?

tte kit, tints, alloys, lowered = one sick ride :)

once exterior is done, look at the interior and maybe get new gearknobs, handbrake handles, car mats etc...

then your ride will be complete
