As my clutch is on its last legs i am looking to get a new one plus a lightened flywheel i want to go for performance as the standard one is simply made of chocolate any suggestions on what is the best i was looking at the fidanza flywheel on the fensport site but im not sure about the clutch also what would the costs be in labour?

Cheers

I would fit an LUK clutch every time. if you get a racing clutch, its either on or off, theres very very little slip in it.

can't comment on the flywheel etc but tbh i don't think it would make that much difference but i suppose it all adds up.

I cant comment on labour costs yet but it would cost the same to fit a performance clutch as a standard wouldnt it? performance parts would be more dearly to buy but fitting them should be the same if there are no modifications to be done.

As for a flywheel it is a performance gaining product it will allow you to use more power from your engine to your wheels it will allow your revs to drop and gain quicker. (Someone correct me if im wrong.!!)

Very true. My rev counter pings all over the place now I have the fidanza flywheel fitted.

As for labour, I paid £300 for a new clutch, clutch master cylinder, clutch slave cylinder, flywheel and for them to fix a very rattley exhaust, plus some new gear box oil too.

Are flywheels actually that good!?

If so then the £450 price tag doesn't seem so steep!

Thanks for the info!

It was an indy close to where I live. The first indy I got a quote from wanted £650 in labour, and the second was a much more sensible £300, and they did a great job too.
