Rav4 Giant Alloy Centre Caps Or Wheels

Does anyone have, or know where I might be able to get, a centre cap for the alloy for a RAV4 Giant (2000 reg) or even a wheel? Toyota think that their "special edition" cars are so special that they should be consigned to the scrap heap after 7 years ie they cease to manufacture parts for them.

I am singularly underwhelmed and unimpressed by the attitude of Toyota GB's "customer relations" - in spite of admitting that guidlines suggest parts should be manufactured for 10 years, they chose to abandon customers that have bought their most expensive cars. LESSON - DO NOT BUY "SPECIAL" OR LIMITED EDITION CARS FROM TOYOTA - YOU MAY END UP WITH A WORTHLESS PIECE OF SCRAP IF AN ESSENTIAL PART IS NO LONGER MANUFACTURED.

I sense your frustration with the limited addition models, most limited models are based on standard models and the extras are added in the UK, one of my past cars was a limited addition 1998 celica 1.8 SR, it had wheels on it from Momo, so when i needed a center cap i was also told by Toyota they could not get hold of them, and back then the car was only 3 years old !, so i contacted Momo UK and bought the caps direct from them.

I guess your alloy wheels will have a makers name on them, best take the same route as i did.....good luck :) .

I had that frustration when my lower spotlights got cracked and couldn't replace them as I also have a Giant Edition. I have possibly written it off by flooding the engine in this awful weather so should my beloved Rav be beyond engine repair I will be parting items from it should you be wanting bits.

Aside from the usual bodywork / wheels etc the Giant comes with I also have a Cusco Strut Bar, Rear Bumper protectors, Driving Lights, Light bar, Bonnet protector, Green Cottons Cool Air Induction Kit... So I shall keep you posted if I am to part with items on it.

HAD THE SAME PROBLEM WITH A GIANT AT 3YEARS OLD. They have special front bumper housings that looks good and take the spotlights. Unfortunately made of plastic the thickness of a coke bottle. Not good in a minor bump. Made so much fuss with Toyata customer relations - they had no spares and refused to tell me who made it - that they eventually paid for repair!

It was still under guarantee.

Now looking for another front bumper moulding and a Giant alloy wheel - and any other giant unique parts. Trouble is they are really good cars as a 3door and with good tyres the grip is phenomenal on the B roads. Bought a Granite special edition, it doesn't have the unique parts and it's the motorway cruiser.
