Corolla T Spirit Vs T3

Im still new to Toyotas (coming from a MK4 Golf riddled with problems) I have decided to opt for reliability! :D

Currently trying to decide which is better 2.0 D-4D T Spirit 5d or the 2.0 D-4D T3 5d

Whats the differences? .. if any

Which is better?

Is the T spirit worth the extra money?

I can see people are selling these cars now almost 1k lower then their book value on Parkers, is this the credit crunch in affect ..or... just a Toyota thing?

i.e 54 plate, 2.0 D-4D T Spirit 5d, 77k miles going for £4k .. book value £5k "poor" and good condition 6K.

The T-Spirit will have more features over the T3 model.

If it's anything like mine, then electric sunroof, all electric windows, climate control, 6speaker audio, are just a few things that the T3 didn't have.

All cars have taken big hits in depreciation in the last 6mths, making it a buyers market :)

the T-spirit is the higher spec model so will have more extra's

but the T3 looks a bit better having side skirts an couple other exterior touches

In addition to man-bing's list my T-Spirit also has auto sensing wipers and electronic auto dipping drivers mirror. I think the T-Spirit is very well equipped and a no brainer versus a T3 but I'm biased of course ;)

I'm not sure, but yes they usually do need replacing, after something stupid like 250000miles so its safe to say it may out live most other parts of the car :D

In addition I would say get a SR, they do look rather sleek and have the features of the T3.....

My T3 2004 on a 53 plate has a belt that needs replacing at 60K or 6 years (i think) whichever come first. When Mr T done mine they put a plastic sticker on the engine cover with the date and mileage it was changed at.

For a D-4D belt change from Mr T your looking at about £220
