At last!

2 1994 RAV4 4.1s in silver, 3 door and both with 3SGTE engines.

They look nice together and adorn the driveway beautifully!

Number 2 stands slightly higher as she has higher shoes (tyres). But she's much quieter and softer. Not quite as quick as number 1, but with an engine that just purrs!

Outwardly, she doesn't boast the wheel spats, but is still a GX, same as number1. With almost identical number plates (saves road fund tax   ) it a joy to see them enjoy each others company. Who needs dogs at Christmas when you have matching twins to look after??

Number2s pressie will be a GT4 intercooler and pump once she's settled down into the new family. However she already wears a rear sway bar from USA which number1 is still waiting to get fitted due to the need to alter the exhaust pipe alignment. Seems to have tightened up the back end a bit and we seem to have tracked the clunks down to a marginally loose rear wheel bearing...early yet tho.

Photos when the rain stops falling and she gets a polish .......

Hmmmmmm

I'd thought of that so they've had the growth hormone neutered to prevent doors appearing from nowhere! Doesn't prevent another wee RAV appearing tho!

Number 2 has been around for 10 months, but has been in the garage - its 1st engine wasn't complete as its organ donor car had had parts removed by the previous owner wi-oot saying! It delayed the project until a 2nd donor was found. Thankfully the organs from the second donor were A1.

I should really run a competition to give each of them names!

Number 1 RAV had to donate one of its headlamp units to number 2. As a treat to number 1 for being so kind, I've bought the 'angel eye' units for it. I'm also going to tidy up its air horns. (Just so it doesn't get jealous. Nothing worse than having jealousy abound in the family!!! And of course, number 1 only has 2 seats so it has a large bootie.

Mornin' Bothy,

Bothy you haven't given details re-gender.

If one is feminine. You could call it Dooris :yahoo:

Or even Doordre.

Were the parent's Hinge and Bracket?

I've a problem with those names cos the landrover is called Doris. Can't be doing with jealousy or confusion!

I took photos today but it was dull, dull, dull and even with flash, wasn't that great. I'll doctor the photos and paste them up.
