Whays Wrong With My Avensis

hi my toyota avensis wouldent start this morning so i tryed to jump start it. when i did i let the clutch up and heard like a brakeing sound then when i tryed to start it again there was a load of smoke comeing out the exhaust when it tryed to turn over thanks

Sounds rather serious, best get a mechanic to take a butchers at it.

tyre squeal--probable tried to start it in 1st gear--(to low 2nd much better ) if you attempt to start with low starter motor speed (week battery) you build up unburnt gas,and oil, in cylinder,hence smoke,try spaying with WD40 and charging Battery

Did he mean a braking sound or a breaking sound? I took it to be the latter.

I think more info is required. Was it a breaking sound or a brakeing sound?. Was it a jump start or a push start?.
