as the title says

i'm thinking about getting one for the sound of the whine but the only choice seems to be the typhoon. is this the case or what are the alternatives?

also i would imagine its the same situation as the 190bhp that the wires for the MAF are stretched once tyhoon is fitted. is the only way to extend the wire by cutting and adding an extention in the middle or can you get the connections to be able to extend the wires using OE connections

any help appreciated

Ollie

On the CTS the wires are very tight even if you try and take some slack out of the harness, adding some wire into the MAF plug is a simply job for an auto electrician or a DIY'er if you have a soldering iron and some wire. I posted all the required parts in the definitive part number thread, if you need to replace your plug as i did if your little black wire snaps and damages the internals of the plug.

The CTSC may have more play in the harness as Towley mentions, however Kanzy had has his snap so each car could be a little different. Go for it on the Typhoon, MPG improved for me a touch and there is more torque and power on the CTS.

Have a word with Matt @ Silverstone Performance. He has some custom made Pipercross Vipers in stock especially for the compressor. They are just like a normal induction kit, but have a heat shield and a cold air feed so you get all the plus points of an induction kit without the negative (sucking in hot air)

Both the CTS & CTS-C have the exact same engine!

The only difference being the Supercharger.

Anything for the 2ZZ-GE engine will fit both

well thats what i would have thought but a couple of kits i've looked at say 190bhp only so was wondering if it was something weird like the flow rate

No difference at all

Sellers seem to put '190bhp only' when they really mean 'T Sport only'
