'missing' Bits And Bobs?

Hey, I just got my new T Sport today off a dealer and noticed that there are no floor matts? Is this normal or not? I really should have noticed this before paying but I dropped the ball.

Also I read of a 'hidden' tray that is under the passenger seat, is it really well hidden? Because I was groping everything down there and found nothing!

mats arent usually included with cars from our dealership. Unless it is a brand new car and the buyer has opted for a 'protection pack' , decided to buy a set of mats themselves or haggled them into the sale.

With yours being an older Yaris (T sport) i would think the old mats (if fitted) would have been thrown out before selling.

Yes there should be a tray under the passenger seat.... it has quite a prominent lip so youshould be able to feel it there, if not maybe it has been removed?

Unless it has after market seats?

And mats tend to be an optional extra but if they were there it's likely they were removed by the previous owner.... there's quite a good market for 2nd hand mats, especially with the T-Sport logo on them.

Wouldnt have expected to found mats in a used car, unless they had been specifically asked for - plus with the amount of dirt they get on them it probably isnt very nice to have used ones anyway...new ones would be good, but in this day and age no-one really likes giving much away for nothing .

I just went out to our Yaris Blue and took these pics of the tray:

First one is with it open a bit.

Second is with it shut, you will see how it clips onto the thin silver metal bar that runs along....under the lever for pulling the seat forwards or back.

Ah ok, thanks for the replies. I managed to get the carpet a bit muddy before I was able to buy some matts! Should clear up with a bit of hoovering and scrubbing.

I went out and got some 'universal mats' today. I had tried to look for Yaris compatible ones but the only ones remaining in Halfords were all the colour of your grandads brown jumper!

As for the tray, I looked under the seat earlier in the week and there's nothing there, just springs and metal bars! I'm not too fussed I suppose!
