There is an updgrade you can get, bit more expensive than just re-mapping but what basically happens is you drive to a dealer, part with some cash, and drive away in a CTS

Maybe so, but if i did u could imagine the mpg being well below 30... id rather have the extra power and still get 40+mpg :D

:wheelchair:

Thought you were a youngster?

My apologies :P

Your right, I'm younger than you, but I bet if you travelled over 800miles in a week you would look at economy rather than power although the dart side is very tempting

I am the youngster, need I remind you B) i bet if you had to travel 700+ miles in a week you would be on the economy band wagon... although it is rather tempting to just go for a powerful car...

... went looking at cars today actually for my 21st, CTS still high on my list but I got a few other options :P

What we can deduce is that rolla owners suffer from huge irony levels.

Old farts drive really fast in CTS's like they've sat on a poison-tipped wasp, and the youngsters drive highly economical deseasals like stereotypical old farts do!

But the dillemma here arises when you realise that I drive a GTI, therefore making me an old fart!

Strange place this.....

Yes TTE do a chip for the D-4-D, but not for the SR model I wrote to them asking about it as they didn't have it listed on their website...

... dont understand why they don't, just doesn't make any sense :(

does have the 116ps engine listed just not down for corolla, but would probably fit anyway.

best thing would be to give 'parts-king' a shout on herehe'll probably be able to help you out with gettin the right one for your car.

puttin the power up to 140 sounds good tho!!!!

Yes sounds good... I asked 'parts-king' a while back and he said TTE didn't have one for the SR... but from looking at the website again yes they do have one for the 116ps engine... but he also told me there is a new chip being developed for the SR... I'm hoping it may give a better gain than 140 ;)

really strange seen as yours has same engine as like mine had

try gettin the engine code for yours then, then searching off that mate

but 140 good, more would be even better, been in a 140 gt tdi mk5 golf an that went quite well

there is a guy on here with a chipped 2.0 D-4-D an sure he said he's had 70mpg out of his

140 is probably a safe level for that engine, if you turn up the wick too far it can lead to serious and expensive problems.

Yep that was me :D but unluckily for me the chip I got has ceased to work and the company i bought it off are not responding to any of my email or call... so im guessing they are cowboys... but yes 140 was good brought my 0-60 right down... just need to find something reliable and from a trustworthy company

Iz the t sport original ecu remappable or does it have to be replaced with another ecu?

the ecu is mappable but for the price you pay...there are little or no gains at all not worth it. CKman has had his mapped but it would be better to use a camcon or apexi PFC to adjust your air fuel ratio to your modifications rather than remapping your ecu as there is not much more you could do to tweak the car.

Better to save up for some bare metal, exhaust systems cams etc.
