Fitting Rear Led Indicator Bulbs

Recommended Posts

Posted

If there are any electricians reading this, can you advise me on how to correctly fit the resistors to stop the bulb warning system from rapidly flashing the indicators.

I've fitted the N/S plug with a resistor on the black and yellow wires. Its stopped the rapid flash but flashes the rear fog light??

And i have no idea what wires to fit the resistor to on the O/S one as there are 2 sets of wires fed into the plug.

Can anyone help me with my big problem?!?

I think you need them because of LED-bulbs?

Black is the feed for the foglight and hooking up your resistor in between Yellow and Black

connects both together. I'll bet turning on the fog light also lights your indicators...

I think you need to use the Yellow and White w/ Black stripe on the Lefthand side

White and White w/ Black stripe are the colors to use on the Righthand Side.

At least that's what my schematic tells me...

Yellow and White might not be the right colors, in that case you should look for

Orange and Purple. Ground is supposed to be White w/ Black stripe throughout the car...

Take good care on where you leave the resistors as they get

VERY hot and might melt plastics and/or insulation when left dangling...

[edit] I allways get Near Side and Off Side confused and your passenger side is my driversside,

so I chose to use RHS and LHS, only it just occurred to me that in the UK the loom might be the

other way around due to the fog light. So Left and right should not be considered bindin :D [/edit]
