Hi guys,

Having some issues with my J reg non-tvis rolla, I have had the cambelt changed recently (about 2 weeks ago and done about 200+ miles since) and everything has been fine. However this morning I started my car and noticed the rev gauge started on 2.0k rpm (as per normal) and then jumped up to 3k rpm ! :(

After about a minute or so it starts to drop, however it then starts jumping up and down (2.5k - 3.0) consistently and doesn’t settle at all. After a while as the car warms up the guage drops down below 2k rpm but still moving up and down between 1.5k to 2.0 k rpm.

Any ideas on what the problem might be ?

Thanks guys and Merry xmas !

hey there, merry xmas

have you checked the coolant level lately, only cause the situation of what your describing is when the coolant temp sensor isn't sensing any water and goes into bleed mode, or your sensor might be duff, check it out :)
