Rav 4.3 Lateral Review Mirror Override

I don't know if that's the term, but, to put it simple: I've hit something with mai right review mirror, when moving forward. The review mirror was pushed to the lateral window quite bad, but beside a little scratch, everithig looks ok, with only one minor fault. When I push the button to flap them, the right one kind of "override", until it touches the lateral window. Pushing the button to put them into position, makes the mirrors go to the normal point. I tried to reset it switching off the Battery, but it didn't worked. I tried to override it to the front, but also no success.

Is there a little trick to make it work ok, or I'll have to replace the mirror? (At the dealer they told me that they cannot open the mirror out, to see what happens with that little engine that flaps it.)

Any ideas?

Retract it until it touches the side window then disconnect the Battery and then push it back to the "normal position".
